My work strips the landscapes down to what it was always trying to say.

I remove the clutter : the noise, the excess, the visual chatter ... until what remains is something closer to a feeling than a place.

Clean tones. Deliberate space.

Every color earns its presence or it doesn't stay.

This is not about less for the sake of less.

It is about only what matters.

To feel like a moment you stop talking —

and finally start seeing.

Mavis Chan, [ XIU 陳紀靜 ] is a fine-art artist who specializes in landscape and still life photography from a geometric perspective.

Born in Hong Kong 2001, XIU is a film graduate from Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.

Her work has garnered recognition across distinguished platforms such as PhotoVogue, Tatler, and Christie’s. Notable among her solo exhibition is “Centred”, held at Kubrick Broadway Cinematheque.

XIU portrays her subjects’ ultimate beauty through geometry and quiet spaces. Her refined approach of composition and contrasts achieves a balance between restraint and tranquility, offering a poetic vision of nature and a moment of stillness within a fast-paced world.

Her pieces offer a refuge of quiet respite.

2001 年生於香港，XIU 畢業於香港演藝學院電影學系。她的作品曾登上PhotoVogue、Tatler、Christie’s 等國際藝文平台，展現其獨到的視覺感性。個人展覽方面，代表作包括於百老匯電影中心 Kubrick 呈獻之個展《Centred》。
